Daycare gives your dog confidence, reduces anxiety, and provides the socialization they crave. Perfect for busy families who want a happier, calmer pup at home.
Dogs enjoy a full day of daycare filled with safe, supervised play, allowing for plenty of dog socialization and opportunities to explore and burn energy. Our structured routine includes play sessions, rest breaks, and both indoor and outdoor play spaces designed for engaging dog enrichment activities that keep pups happy and active.
A full day of daycare offers your pup the exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction they crave, making it an ideal setting for dog socialization. Along with supervised play and structured rest breaks, dogs engage in various dog enrichment activities such as dog-safe bubbles, seasonal doggy pool days, and plenty of opportunities to explore, think, and burn energy.
Your dog’s first day at Rusty’s Retreat is designed to be fun, gentle, and confidence‑building. Every pup begins with a half‑day temperament test, not a “test” in the scary sense, but a slow, happy introduction to our space, our staff, and a few friendly dogs at a time. This gives your dog the chance to explore, sniff around, and settle in at their own pace while we learn who they are, what they enjoy, and how they play.
During their intro session, we gradually introduce them to one dog at a time, building up to a small group once they’re comfortable. This extended format helps us understand your pup’s comfort level, play style, and social needs so we can place them in the safest, happiest playgroup and set them up for success in our enrichment‑focused daycare.
Temperament Test Options:
• Morning Session: 7:00am–12:00pm
• Afternoon Session: 12:30pm–5:30pm
Our caring, trained team keeps a close eye on every pup throughout their visit. With clean play spaces, clear routines, and staff who truly love what they do, you can feel confident your dog is supported from drop‑off to pick up, and will head home tired, happy, and proud of their first day.
At Rusty’s Retreat, we require proof of vaccination at the temperament test for Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella. All required vaccines must have been administered at least 1 week prior to your dog’s visit.
For added protection, we also recommend canine influenza, a recent negative fecal test, and flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
Drop off for our full day daycare is from 7:00-9:00 am, where your dog can enjoy a variety of dog enrichment activities. Pick up is between 5:00-6:00 pm, ensuring your dog has had ample opportunity for dog socialization throughout the day.
A calm, comfortable option for dogs who don’t participate in group daycare but still need a safe place to spend the day. Each pup enjoys a private kennel, scheduled potty breaks, and gentle one‑on‑one attention. Ideal for seniors, shy dogs, or pups who prefer a quieter environment. Day Boarding follows the same hours as daycare and is offered based on availability and may require advance booking.
